CUSTOM PRINTED T-SHIRT ORDERS OF ANY SIZE
Screen printing is where it all began for Mayhem Graphix. Our modest four-color, one-station press printed a lot of shirts when we were still located Keokuk, IA. Fast forward over a decade, a move to Macomb, IL, and tens of thousands of printed shirts later, we are still pushing a screen printing squeegee. Our specialty discharge ink produces a super soft print, and we are the only screen printer in the area that is a "discharge first" screen print shop. We don't like the stiff, heavy or thick feel of plastisol printed shirts (sometimes we wonder if plastisol is bullet proof), and neither do our customers. If you want SOFT SHIRTS and SOFT PRINTS, Mayhem Graphix is the right printer for you.
WHAT DETERMINES THE PRICE OF MY SCREEN PRINTED SHIRTS?
The Garment: We have many different choices for garments, but they all have two things in common: they are soft and comfortable to wear. We simply don't offer uncomfortable scratchy shirts.
How Many Shirts You Order: In screen printing, the majority of the cost is in the setup. Setup in screen printing is the same, whether printing five or five hundred shirts. So the more shirts you order, the lower the cost per shirt. Plain and simple.
Number of Print Locations: Each location on a shirt that must be printed requires a setup of the screen printing press. Want just a print on the front? This is one location. Want a print on the front and the back of the shirt? This is two locations, which means two setups. Setting up the press for each location can take up to 30 minutes, depending on the number of colors (screens) in the design.
Date Garments are Needed: Our typical turnaround time is 7-10 business days. If you need shirts faster, it's often possible to produce them in a shorter time frame if shirts are available.
WHAT IS THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN SCREEN PRINTING AND DIGITAL PRINTING (DIRECT-TO-GARMENT)?
Screen Printing involves over 20 steps to print just one shirt. If you are ordering 24 or more shirts, most of those steps only have to be performed one time. This makes screen printing the best choice for larger orders. After the set up is done, we can produce several shirts per minute. The more shirts you order, the lower the cost of screen printing for each shirt.
Digital Printingis a much newer process in which a state-of-the-art printer puts ink directly onto the shirt. Because the design is processed and printed digitally, DTG printing allows for a quantity as low as one shirt since there are no screens or time-consuming setup. The ink used in our DTG printing is water base ink, which produces a soft print. With digital printing, we can produce as little as one shirt with an unlimited amount of colors. Digital printing is best used by customers whose design is highly detailed or requires several ink colors, or those who just don't need a large quantity of shirts.
